Modicare: In a bid to win the hearts of the Aam Aadmi in India by giving them a healthy life, the Modi Government is mulling to unveil separate healthcare scheme for the middle class. This healthcare scheme will be different from the Ayushman Bharat scheme as the ambitious Rs 5 lakh health insurance scheme aims to provide benefit to the poor section of the society.
The Niti Aayog has already made a report for such a separate healthcare scheme for the middle class. The Niti Aayog has submitted its report titled "Health system for New India." The Niti Aayog report emphasises on the need for healthcare scheme for the middle class as Ayushman Bharat scheme is not for the middle-class society. Ayushman Bharat is mainly for the low-income group or poor section of the society.
