BHEL recruitment 2018 for engineers through GATE: Those who are interested in joining BHEL as Engineer Trainee will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) – 2018. Based on the GATE-2018 Marks and requirement, they will be shortlisted for interview. Persons with disabilities candidates will be accorded upto 50% relaxation below the cut-off marks in their respective categories for being shortlisted for interview.
BHEL recruitment 2018 for engineers through GATE: For graduates in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, BHEL is offering a challenging and rewarding career in the fields of Power, Industry, Transmission, Transportation, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Defence & Water. The number of vacancies is tentative and actual requirement may vary based on further assessment, as the requirement is for BHEL’s project sites and manufacturing units spread across the country. The category wise reservation will be as per the government guidelines issued in this regard.
For Engineer Trainee (Mechanical/ Electrical), a candidate should have a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering /Technology or Five year integrated Master’s degree or Dual Degree programme in Engineering or Technology in the disciplines of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized Indian University/ Institute.
The candidate should be of 27 Years and those who are born before 01/09/1990 are not eligible to apply. However, candidates having two years’ full time Post Graduate in Engineering or Business Administration/ Management can apply be of 29 years.
They should be in a position to produce their Degree/Final year marks sheets by 1st July, 2018 or at the time of Interview, whichever is earlier.
Diary dates (Engineer Trainee - 2018 through GATE - 2018):
Commencement of online submission of applications: 12th February, 2018 (10:00 AM).
Closing of on-line submission of Applications: 12th March, 2018 (11:59 PM).
Closing of on-line Payment: 13th March, 2018 (11:59 PM).
Reservation & Relaxation
1. For PWD candidates: Reservation for PWD candidates will be in accordance with government directives.
2. Upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to the following categories as under: SC/ST: - by 5 years; OBC (NCL): by 3 years
For getting the reservation benefits under OBC category:
The name of caste and community of the candidate must appear in the Central list of Other Backward Classes and the candidate must not belong to creamy layer.
The candidates need to furnish their OBC – non creamy layer (NCL) certificate (not more than one year old from the date of application to BHEL as per the prescribed format.
Persons with Disabilities Candidates: - by 10 years for General; by 13 years for OBC (NCL); by 15 years for SC/ST.
Relaxation in age for Ex-Servicemen will be as per extant goverment rules.
Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1/1/1980 to 31/12/1989.
3. The above mentioned positions of Engineer Trainee in BHEL are identified for Locomotor Disability, leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victim, Blindness (in Single Eye), Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Speech and Language Disability.
Allocation process:
Those who are interested in joining BHEL as Engineer Trainee will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) – 2018. The final merit list shall be prepared on the basis of 75% weightage to written test (GATE2018) score & 25% weightage to Interview Stage.
