Batla House box office collection: The John Abraham film hit theatres on the Independence Day, on the same day with Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal, which is dominating the box office for over a week. Last year too John Abraham-starrer Satyamev Jayate and Akshay Kumar's Gold had hit theatres on independence day. Batla House is doing brisk business at the box office. After earning Rs 15.55 crore at the box office, the movie has so far collected Rs 69.99 crore in India business.

On Friday, it could made Rs 4.15 crore at the box office. However, the Akshay Kumar film is far ahead in terms of collection. Mission Mangal has already crossed the Rs 135-crore mark and now moving towards the Rs 150-crore target.

The film is based on the Batla House encounter case, which took place on September 19, 2008 to nab terrorists in Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi. In the film, John Abraham plays the role of a police officer, Sanjay Kumar Yadav, who played a crucial role in the encounter.

Besides, John Abraham, it also features Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan and Rajesh Sharma in important roles. John Abraham acting has been appreciated by the audience.
