Following is the list of bank holidays for the month of May 2022, as per the RBI calendar.
Bank holidays in May 2022: The month of May is about to start. For the sake of that, people who need to take care of bank related work need to know the holiday list for the upcoming month. Every year, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases a holiday calendar that states when Indian banks will remain closed.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) determines bank holidays in three categories: Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act, holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.

It is worth noting that banking holidays are based on state-specific festivals and may vary from state to state. Following is the list of bank holidays for the month of May 2022, as per the RBI calendar.
Bank Holidays in May 2022: List
May 2 (Monday): Ramjan-Eid (Eid-UI-Fitra)
May 3 (Tuesday): Bhagvan Shree Parshuram Jayanti/Ramjan-Eid (Eid-UI-Fitra)/Basava Jayanti/Akshaya Tritiya
May 9 (Monday): Birthday of Rabindranath Tagore
May 16 (Monday): Buddha Purnima
It is to be noted that except for these 4 days, banks are also closed on weekends ie. Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, according to the RBI calendar. If we include these days, it makes for 11 bank holidays next month.
