Badhaai Ho is the latest Bollywood film to achieve the Rs 100-crore mark in box office collection. This has come as an amazing surprise for all concerned. The industry has welcomed it and it will go a long way in ensuring Bollywood does even better than it is expected to do. The Amit Sharma directed film has seen good run at the box office after a cooperatively slow start.

Production banner Junglee Pictures announced it as the film hit the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office India collections.

"#BadhaaiHo, CENTURY hui hai! #BadhaaiHo crosses crores,"Junglee Pictures tweeted. The movie has received rave reviews and praise from audience and critics. 

Badhaai Ho film is a comedy drama about a middle age couple, played by Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, facing an unexpected pregnancy.  

"I'm always known for middle of the road cinema, where there is a collaboration of critical and commercial success but this kind of reaction and public appreciation really means a lot to me because frankly speaking while making the film, we never thought we were making a 100 crore film," PTI quoted Ayushmann as saying. 

"But the way it is received, it just shows love from the audience is immense and audience has matured and the film was entertaining. I'm proud of my choice," Ayushmann said.

Other actors include Surekha Sikhri and Sanya Malhotra. "Badhaai Ho" was released on October 18. 

Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Namaste England too released almost at the same time but the film failed to steer the film well.
