Badhaai Ho Box Office Collection: This film has earned as much as Rs 6.5 cr. this Saturday, which goes a long way in showing how popular the film is and how long its shelf life has been in theatres. The movie was released last Friday, 18 Oct.

Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao starrer has stolen the hearts of many with its comedy and emotional drama. Fortunately, for teh filmmakers, the festival of ‘karva chauth’ was on Saturday, and this helped boost family audience numbers in theaters.

Badhaai Ho film got an IMDb rating of 8.4/10 and it has a 86% fresh content according to the Rotten Tomatoes. The total Box Office Collection of the film was Rs. 76 cr, which is an excellent number. In addition, ‘Badhaai Ho’ has crossed the lifetime record of Dhadak (RS. 74.19 cr) in just 10 days. Dhadak had a bigger opening day with Rs 8.71 cr. However, Badhaai Ho is still marching ahead towards much bigger milestones.

Even as Badhaai Ho film is giving such a great performance at the Box Office, a legal notice has been issued by Delhi government to the director Amit Sharma, the actors and others, seeking removal of smoking scenes and promotion of tobacco products, an official said on Sunday.

S.K. Arora, Additional Director (Public Health) and State Tobacco Control Officer, said there were a number of scenes in "Badhaai Ho" where the characters can be seen smoking. Tobacco brand promotion was also shown. This is the violation of Section 5 of Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003 (COTPA), according to an IANS report.

Even if this is actually done, it is unlikely to stop Badhaai Ho collection powering confidently towards the Rs 100 cr mark next week.
