Film Trade India analyst Taran Adarsh said on Saturday that 'Badhaai Ho' is on a "winning streak". "#BadhaaiHo is on a winning streak... Is SUPERB on Day 2... Eclipses biz of *all films* in the marketplace [new + holdover titles]... Thu 7.29 cr, Fri 11.67 cr. Total: ₹ 18.96 cr. India biz… Expect BIGGER NUMBERS on Sat and Sun," Adarsh tweeted.

On Sunday, Adarsh tweeted, "#BadhaaiHo is UNSTOPPABLE... Hits double digits yet again on Day 3 [Sat]... Thu 7.29 cr, Fri 11.67 cr, Sat 12.50 cr. Total: ₹ 31.46 cr. India biz... Eyes ₹ 45 cr [+/-] extended weekend, which is PHENOMENAL."

"#BadhaaiHo is landmark cinema. It's a small film which will prove to be BIG, very BIG at the box-office. It is content at its best and conviction at its super-best. And it's a 'multi-starrer' because it has many heroes," analyst Komal Nahta had tweeted. In another tweet yesterday, Nahta said, "As predicted in review, #BadhaaiHo all set to join 100-crore club! What a jump in collections!! From Rs. 7.29 crore on Thursday to Rs. 11. 67 crore on Friday. Total for 2 days: Rs. 18.96 crore! BIG figure for a small film. Note: it didn’t open in Madhya Pradesh due to cinema bandh"

Ahead of Diwali, the 'Badhaai Ho' collections have brought double joy for Ayushman. His another film, AndhaDhun has been a hit already recently, and it is still earning. As these films set the mood for a bumper Diwali, 'Thugs of Hindostan' may walk with the cake.

The film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, can create a new box office record and there are compelling reasons for this:

First, Aamir Khan's films always set the box office on fire. Rs 300 crore is never beyond the reach, at least not in the last few years, of his films. Analysts believe 'Thugs of Hindostan (TOH)' would be no blooper. This is also the first time when Bachchan is acting with Khan. Two masters of the trade on the screen! They are sufficient reasons to expect more than just fireworks.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, TOH releases November 8. Trade pundits say the film can set a new benchmark of Rs 400-club for the Bollywood. The last Indian film that made an insane over Rs 500 crore on the box office was Baahubali 2. But it was not an original Bollywood production.

TOH production is estimated to have cost around Rs 210 crore. Aamir Khan has given two of the all-time highest grossing Bollywood movies - Dangal and PK. With Bachchan in company and a Diwali to bank upon, it won't be a surprise if TOH generates at least twice of its production cost - Hence, the 400-crore club!

This is also the first time when Bollywood is dealing with an epic period action drama with all seriousness. With the name of Khan, Bachchan and producer Aditya Chopra at stake, expecting Rs 400 crore shouldn't surprise much.
