'Comments or suggestions, if any, may be addressed to Director General of Civil Aviation, Opp. Safdarjung Highway, New Delhi – 110003 or email to dgoffice.dgca@nic.in,' the notification said.
'Receiving before the above-said date of birth on behalf of any person in respect of the said draft rules any objections or suggestions will be considered by the Central Government,' the draft notification further said.
According to the amendments proposed by the Ministry, only the licensing authority will issue the license of light sport ships and gyroplanes. Apart from that, they will also decide the medical fitness, validity, and duration of the license.
The amendment also included a proposal to extend the validity of a commercial pilot licence. It will be valid for an extension of 10 years from the present 5 years.
Similarly, Flight Navigator, and Radio Telephone Operator License will also be valid for 10 years, the draft said. Validity of Airlines Transport Pilot License is also proposed for 10 years.
Also, a proposal to increase the distance to 5 nautical miles for any aerodrome and light show around the airport is possible. Currently, this distance is 5 kilometers, which may create misunderstanding, said the ministry.
