"Inaugurating the world-class- 11.3 km High-Speed Track in Indore, the longest such track in Asia. It will be used for measuring the maximum speed capabilities of high-end cars and other categories of vehicles," tweeted the Minister.
He said it is declaration that India will not only be an important automobile centre, but it will become the hub of automobile and not only of components. "It will be centre of automobile manufacturing, services and spare parts too. It will generate employment, increase tax collection and make sure that every car manufactured in Indian can run on any part of the world. This is India's dream of Atmanirbhar Bharat," said Javadekar.
He said that the utilities for which our vehicles were earlier sent to foreign countries will be reversed now. "Now, those countries which do not have this facility will look up to India and send their vehicles to India, instead of Europe and America. It is because we have a track that is 5th largest in the world and largest and more equipped than China and Japan in Asia. This work took 6 years' time. This is in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making India's manufacturing hub of the world," the minister said.
