On the occasion of National Voters Day, the microblogging site Twitter has rolled out new hashtags under the campaign 'Jagruk Voter' on January 25, 2022, ahead of assembly elections.

After the launch of the campaign, people are flocking to the microblogging site to keep informed and connect with resources as the five states of Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are going to conduct the Assembly Elections 2022.

Here are some ways to exercise your voting rights by becoming a Jagruk Voter on Twitter.

Participate in the conversation by Tweeting with the #AssemblyElections2022 emoji

You can participate in the election conversation by Tweeting with any of the related hashtags given below. 

These will also generate a special emoji, which depicts an index finger hovering over a list of voting alternatives, demonstrating your power to make informed, well-considered decisions.

Some of the hashtags include, but are not limited to: #AssemblyElections2022, #StateElections2022, #AssemblyPolls2022, #UttarPradeshElections2022, #UttarakhandElections2022, #PunjabElections2022, #ManipurElections2022, #GoaElections2022.

Connect with credible information with the #AssemblyElections2022 search prompt

Use Twitter’s election search prompt to stay updated with the latest information about the Assembly Elections 2022 from credible sources. 

The prompt is available in four languages including English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Konkani, and will help you find authoritative information about candidate lists, voting dates, polling booths, voter ID registration, among other related information.

Follow the elections more closely with Event Pages on Twitter

Twitter has created dedicated Event pages and Public Service Announcements for any significant events and happenings that are important to the public discourse. 

Similarly, Twitter is assisting individuals with pertinent information through event pages for these elections. 

On each voting day and the day of the results, there will be dedicated events pages live. 

The service will offer different PSA pages (Public Service Announcements) in the run-up to the elections, including how to register to vote in English and Hindi, information on the polling procedure in English and Hindi, COVID-19 rules on campaigning in English, and how to vote using the EVM. 

Many more are scheduled in the weeks leading up to the election.
