Coming to Chattisgarh, if BJP does take lead in this state then there will be massive good news for farmers and pensioners.

BJP has promised to make Chhattisgarh a “Naxal-free” state and also vowed to enhance farmers living conditions.

BJP manifesto named ‘Sankalp Patra’ was released two days before the first phase of voting began in Chhattisgarh.

This manifesto indicated if BJP wins the election in this state then Rs 1,000 per month will be given to small and marginal farmers along with landless agricultural labourers who are above 60 years.

Not only this, the manifesto also mentioned a 1.50 times hike in MSP (minimum support price) for minor forest produce. Also, the party has talked about buying pulses and lentils at the MSP alongside developing Chhattisgarh as an organic farming state.

Apart from this, BJP has promised to provide up to Rs 2 lakh interest free loan to women in order to help them set up business. Also, a Rs 5 lakh loan without any interest charge will be given to self-help groups (SHGs).

The manifesto also indicated the BJP would improve state of hospitals. It has promised to develop multi-speciality hospitals. Also super-speciality hospitals are being promised to be set up in Ambikapur and Jagdalpur, Chattisgarh.

Meanwhile, to promote Hindi language the BJP has also promised to develop new university.

As for pensioners, a medical allowance of Rs 1000 every month has been promised.

However, the above mentioned promises will only become a reality if BJP sees a win in this state, which at the moment, is looking unlikely.

Currently, BJP is leading in 22 seats in Chhattisgarh, still lagging behind Congress, which has taken a lead in 59 seats.
