As Raazi box office collection crosses Rs 78.33 cr mark, Alia Bhat hits Rs 700 cr milestone

After her debut in Karan Johar film Student of the Year in 2012,  Alia Bhatt, the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt,  is  doing quite well for herself in Bollywood in terms box  office collections. Since then the actress has not looked back and her box office earnings have now reportedly surpassed Rs 700 crore.  Her latest movie Raazi box office collection is doing well at Rs 78.33 cr and it has powered the total past this major landmark.
 
 Alia Bhatt has earned Rs 719.47 crore from only 10 releases, with average of nearly Rs 72 crore per film. Highway and Shaandaar remained the lowest grossing films of the actress with only Rs 30 crore and Rs 43.13 crore, respectively. Alia has over the years carved a niche for herself.  In the past six years,  the actress has done 10 movies averaging two releases and Rs 140 cr a year at the box office.

Alia has been featured with actors such as -- Varun Dhawan to Sidharth Malhotra, and Arjun Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. She has also done movies with Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor. All her releases, barring a few, have crossed the Rs 50-crore mark at the box office.  Alia Bhatt ranks 9th on the list of top earning female celebrities, according to Bollywood Hungama. Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonakshi Sinha who have atleast 15 releases in their kitty could not match Alia's success. The young acress has become of the most sought after in the industry.

The past six years since the release of her first film, the actress has consolidated her position. Film industry has many stories of failure after initial success. Her debut film six years ago was well received by the audience, propelling into the limelight. Alia, now at 25, has long span to prove herself and hope she will continue her good work.
