Wishes started pouring in from all parts of the country as Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 70 on Thursday. PM Modi was born in Gujarat's Vadnagar on 17 September 1950. President Ram Nath Kovind, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Shashi Tharoor among others tweeted their birthday wishes.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 70th birthday at India Gate on Wednesday. 

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi a long and healthy life. "Wishing you a very happy birthday Sir. I pray for your long and healthy life," Kejriwal tweeted.
