In a bid to improve the customer experience, Vodafone is working hard and has come up with a new feature- 'Data Usage Alert' for its prepaid customers. Users with any daily data plan will now be shown a data usage warning if they complete their daily quota, said a Telecom talk report.
The telco has a wide range of prepaid plans with benefits such as Rs 255, Rs 349, Rs 569, Rs 509, Rs 511 and more. If users browse the web even after the completion of the daily FUP, they will be shown the data usage alert.
According to the report, if a user tries to open any website after exhausting his daily data pack he will be redirected to the website which displayed the data usage alert. The displayed message would be ‘As per regulatory norms, internet service has been stopped after pack quota/validity. To use data @standard rates, SMS START to 1925 or to buy a data pack dial *444#.’
The report also stated that, for now, users have to head over to their respective operator’s applications to check the data usage, while Reliance Jio and some other telcos notify about the data usage limit via an SMS.

The move is expected to be useful for the users as they do not have to open the application to check their data usage every time. They will be shown the data alert message once they exhaust the data quota, the report added.
