Anil Singhvi's take on PM Modi's lockdown order; reveals list of top 10 services that will remain open
Anil Singhvi advised citizens that PM Modi has taken such a strong decision only to ensure the safety of the citizens as Coronavirus must be stopped entering the third stage.
After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ordered a 21-day complete lockdown from midnight, the public is guessing about the reasons behind such a strong measure being taken by the Government. Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi shed some light on it and said that the lockdown is for the good of the people of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken the right decision to fight against the deadly Coronavirus disease. Singhvi said that social distancing is the only solution to stop Coronavirus reaching into the more dangerous third stage and hence rather than announcing a lockdown in a calibrated manner, PM Modi took the right call by ordering a 21 days long lockdown in one shot.
Anil Singhvi added, "The Prime Minister could have even said that people have been co-operative enough and hence he is enhancing the Janata Curfew for one more week and later on increasing it for one more week. But, this would have created panic among the people as their planning for the lockdown was for one week only. Now, since the government has announced a 3-week lockdown, they will be prepared for a three-week lockdown both mentally and socially."

What is Lockdown
Singhvi advised citizens that PM Modi has taken such a strong decision only to ensure the safety of the citizens as Coronavirus must be stopped entering the third stage where it grows geometrically and makes the entire system helpless as we are witnessing in developed nations like Italy, France, Iran, Spain and in the US as well. As to what is lockdown, he said that lockdown is not a curfew where you can't go outside and all the major and minor services get suspended. He said that all essential services like banking, insurance, telecom, internet, health and pharmacy, cold storage, etc. will remain open in this lockdown. What people need is to co-operate with the government and don't allow the panic button to switch-on.
