Actor Irrfan Khan`s "Angrezi Medium" minted only Rs 4.03 crore on its opening day amid the coronavirus pandemic. The collections suffered due to the shutdown of cinema halls in several regions, including Delhi, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Jammu and several cities of Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, the makers of the film announced that the movie will be re-released in India once the situation improved and theatres reopened.
Directed by Homi Adajania, "Angrezi Medium" revolves around a father-daughter relationship, played out by Irrfan and Radhika Madan. It also features Deepak Dobriyal, Ranvir Shorey, Dimple Kapadia and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Apart from the Coronavirus, some dent to the Angrezi Medium box office collection came due to the Tamilrockers as well because Angrezi Medium full movie download link was leaked by Tamilrockers. The Irrfan Khan, Radhika Madan and Kareena Kappor starrer became the latest victim of piracy. Released on Friday, the movie was leaked by notorious website Tamilrockers on the same day. The film would have struggled at the box office anyway with a few states deciding to close cinema halls till March 31 in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.
The film has released to very poor opening in India with only 5 to 8 per cent occupancy in morning shows across the country. This is largely due to the coronavirus scare. Angrezi Medium reviews haven't been great too which will further hit the box office figures. (With inputs from IANS)
