Andhra Pradesh Cabinet: Chandrababu Naidu retains law and order, Pawan Kalyan appointed as Deputy CM with key portfolios
The announcement came two days following the induction of the 25-member National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Council of Ministers, where Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) stalwart Nara Chandrababu Naidu unveiled the portfolio distribution on Friday.
Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan has been named the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, entrusted with pivotal portfolios including Panchayati Raj, Rural Development & Rural Water Supply, Environment, Forest, and Science & Technology.
The announcement came two days following the induction of the 25-member National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Council of Ministers, where Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) stalwart Nara Chandrababu Naidu unveiled the portfolio distribution on Friday.
Chandrababu Naidu has chosen to oversee crucial departments himself, retaining General Administration, Law & Order, Public Enterprises, among others, not allocated to ministers.
Pyyavula Keshav, a first-time minister, has been entrusted with Finance, Planning, Commercial Taxes, and Legislative Affairs by Naidu.
Meanwhile, Naidu's son, Nara Lokesh, will helm Human Resources Development, Information Technology, and Electronics & Communication.
Anitha Vangalapudi, among the three women ministers, will be responsible for Home Affairs and Disaster Management.
Key portfolios have been allocated to various ministers - Kinjarapu Atchannaidu for Agriculture, Co-operation, Marketing, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries; Nadenda Manohar for Food & Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs; and Kollu Ravindra for Mines & Geology and Excise.
Satya Kumar Yadav, the lone BJP representative in the NDA Cabinet, will oversee Health; Medical Welfare & Medical Education.
Dr Nimmala Ramanaidu has been assigned Water Resources Development, while Nasyam Mohammed Farook will handle Law & Justice and Minority Welfare.
The endowment portfolio has been entrusted to Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, a seasoned leader who previously served as a minister in the Congress government in united Andhra Pradesh.
Other portfolios and their respective ministers include Housing and Information & Public Relations to Kolusu Parthasarathy; Revenue, Registration & Stamps to Anagani Satyaprasad; and Social Welfare, Disabled and Senior Citizen Welfare; Sachivalayam & Village Volunteer to Dr Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy.
Gottipati Ravi Kumar will be responsible for Energy, Kandula Durgesh for Tourism, Culture & Cinematography, and Gummadi Sandhya Rani for Women & Child Welfare and Tribal Welfare.
The Roads & Buildings and Infrastructure & Investments portfolios have been assigned to B.C. Janardhan Reddy, while T.G. Bharath will oversee Industries & Commerce and Food Processing Ministry.
S. Savitha has been designated for BC Welfare, Economic Weaker Sections Welfare, Handlooms & Textiles, and Vasamsetti Subhash for Labour, Factories, Boilers & Insurance Medical Services.
Lastly, Kondapalli Srinivas will handle MSME, SERP, and NRI Empowerment & relations, and Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy will oversee Transport, Youth, and Sports.
