Amid heatwave Delhi to witness cloudy sky with chances of light rain: IMD

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday that there are chances of light rain or drizzle with the sky remaining cloudy in the national capital, giving relief to the people of the city.

According to the IMD, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 29.6 degrees Celsius, two points above the seasonal average, whereas the maximum temperature is likely to be around 40 degrees Celsius.
The recorded humidity was 67% at 8:30 a.m., the Met department further added. The IMD also said that the city could face rain accompanied by thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday.
Kanpur IAF (West Uttar Pradesh) records the highest maximum temperature today with a temperature of 43.8 degrees Celsius, the Met department said in a post on X.
Also, according to the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of the national capital was recorded in the "moderate" category with a reading of 152 at 10 a.m. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered "good," 51 and 100 "satisfactory," 101 and 200 "moderate," 201 and 300 "poor," 301 and 400 "very poor," and 401 and 500 "severe."
