ALERT! Anil Singhvi appeals to viewers to beware of fake videos, messages attributing him on Internet | Video

Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi has informed investors that there are many fake social media accounts/handles that share fake reviews on IPOs and stocks citing his name. He alerted viewers to be aware of such videos, Tweets, posts on social media platforms and messages that are being circulated on the Internet.

Singhvi urged viewers not to trust such messages and always look for authentic sources. The Market Guru said that he has also filed a complaint against the fake social media accounts and claims with the market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the concerned government department. He also said that the channel's legal team is preparing to take action against people spreading fake information citing his name.

Singh told viewers to follow only the official handles for authentic news and information. Besides, he alerted viewers not to fall prey to thumbnails of videos and look inside the video to verify the content.

MoS for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India Rajeev Chandrashekar told Zee Business that strict action would be taken against those indulging in such activities.

“If you have complained to the platform and it has not taken any action... then it is unfair. It is irresponsible on the part of grievance redressal. These types of issues will be addressed by the grievance appellate committee and will bring justice to such problems,” Rajeev said.

Notable, multiple fake videos and posts are being widely circulated on social media platforms from multiple parody accounts of Anil Singhvi. These accounts are used to share false and misleading information to manipulate the prices of shares and subscriptions of IPOs.
