After online 'Teachers' Transfer Policy' success, Haryana to implement scheme in other departments too
Buoyed by the success and state-wide acceptance of its online `Teachers` Transfer Policy`, the Haryana government has decided to extend it to eight more departments having 500 and more state cadre posts."These eight departments would upload a draft of the online transfer policy for their respective employees on their websites by next week to invite suggestions," said a state government spokesman on Saturday.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will launch the online transfer policy of these departments on April 15.
"Till then, a ban has been imposed on all transfers in these departments which would be made online only after April 15," the spokesman said. The decision was taken at a meeting of administrative secretaries and HoDs (heads of departments) of these eight departments with the Chief Minister in Chandigarh on Saturday.
Khattar directed Additional Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries of departments with 500 and more state cadre posts to invite suggestions from employees, MLAs, and MPs on the draft of the online transfer policy.
He directed the officers to send copies of the online transfer policy to all 90 MLAs, 10 MPs and five Members of the Rajya Sabha.
"While transferring an employee, preference would be given according to the marks obtained by him in the Annual Confidential Report," Khattar told the officers.
The Haryana government had, in 2017, introduced online transfer policy for teachers in the education department. The move, as claimed by the government, was a success with teachers getting their choice of place of posting in the majority of the cases.
