Aero India 2019 is all set begin this month. Starting from February 20th, the event will conclude on February 24th. The event is one of the most popular events of Bengaluru, right from the very first edition held in 1996. There were over 60,000 business visitors with more than 100,000 general visitors, who attended the Aero India programme in 2017, while it is likely to have a larger footfall this year. As usual, this year also the Defence Exhibition Organisation, Ministry of Defence and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is hosting the event at Yelahanka Air Force station, Bengaluru North. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman and several other ministers and top rank personnel will be present to experience the event on February 20th. The 12th edition of Aero India will be kicked off with a tag line - 'The Runway to a Billion Opportunities'.

Aero India is a world class prestigious programme that not only showcases the event for government and business people, but also a platform for general visitors and children to feel the experience of aviation and air defence of India.

Aero India 2019: Tickets prices

For Indian visitors, the ticket is priced at Rs 600 per day, while for foreigners it is $25. For children under five, the entry is free. There will be a Rs 1,800 denomination ticket for general visitors and $35 overseas nationals. This pass gives access to Exhibition area during February 23 and 24 in addition to access to the static display and flying display zones.

Aero India 2019: Timings

The general visitors will have have no entry on first two days (February 20 & 21) of the Aero India 2019 and will be allowed to enter the venue in the afternoon and enjoy aerial display only after 2:00 pm. 

From February 22 to February 24th, the gates will be opened in the morning 9:30 am. The visitors can enjoy the two sessions of flying display, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, where the event closes at 5:30 pm for the day.

The tickets can be booked on the BookMyShow app on mobile or on the Aero India official website (here). Only 1 ticket can be bought per account. The foreign national can buy the tickets on the Aero India website only.

Aero India 2019: Aircraft display

In total, there will be 57 aircraft on display. There will be flying aerobatic displays on all four days. World's top aerobatics teams including our own Surya Kiran Team (Indian Air Force), Helicopter Dhruv-powered Sarang Team (Indian Air Force), Sukhoi Su-30MKI (cobra manoeuvre), Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet. The Dassault Aviation will also be showing off Rafale fighter jet both in flying sortie and static display. 

Further the show will also have a display of Indian-made helicopters, fighter jets, Drones, transport carriers (Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules, Boeing C-17 Globemaster III), even private jets such as Embraer S.A. for business enterprise owners. 

The Aero India 2019 will also host Drone Olympics for start-ups and young adults on day 2 (February 21) in the afternoon, for the first time ever.
