Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) protest against CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Tuesday shut the entry and exit gates of the Lok Kalyan Marg metro station in the national capital on Tuesday, as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) called for a protest against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Several AAP MLAs and office-bearers are set to gather at party headquarters this morning and then march to the Prime Minister's residence.
The DMRC, which operates the Delhi Metro train rapid transit system, said that two gates of the Patel Chowk and Central Secretariat metro stations will also remain shut in view of the situation.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED), the country's financial crime-fighting agency, arrested Kejriwal on March 21 in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case linked to a money laundering case. On March 22, Kejriwal was remanded to the custody of the ED for seven days, till March 28.
The case pertains to alleged irregularities and money laundering in framing and implementing the Delhi excise policy case 2022, which was later scrapped.
Sisodia, then Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, was arrested by the CBI on February 26, 2023, following several rounds of questioning.
On October 5, the ED arrested Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh.

Meanwhile, the BJP has also planned a counter-protest demanding Kejriwal's resignation.
Security Update
Due to security reasons, entry/exit at Lok Kalyan Marg Metro station, Gate no 3 of Patel Chowk Metro Station and Gate no 5 of Central Secretariat Metro station will remain closed till further notice.

There was no role of the central government in the arrest of the Delhi Chief Minister, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said last week.
