The process for Aadhaar cards for babies below five years of age are as follows:
1) It must be noted that for children below 5 years no biometrics will be captured
2) The UID of these children will be processed on the basis of demographic information and facial photograph linked with the UID of their parents
3) It also must be remembered that these children will need to update their biometrics of ten fingers, iris and facial photograph, when they turn 5 and 15
The documents required for Aadhaar card for newborn babies up to five years are as follows:
1) Original birth certificate
2) Aadhaar card of any one parent is also required
3) Original copies for both these documents will be required for the verification process
One can apply for the Aadhhar card for the newborn babies in some simple steps. These are as follows:
Step 1: One can book an appointment online by logging in to the official UIDAI website at uidai.gov.in
Step 2: Then one has to click on book appointment option displayed under the ‘Get Aadhaar’ section
Step 3: After this, one needs to enter the location details there
Step 4: Now one needs to click on the Proceed to Book an appointment option
Step 5: One has to select New Aadhaar option
Step 6: Now, one needs to enter mobile number and click on Generate OTP option
Step 7: Again, it is required to enter the personal details in the respective section and then click on proceed option
Step 8: Following this, one has to select the time and slot for the appointment at the centre and click on Next
Step 9: Verify details and click on submit option to book appointment
Step 10: Finally, head to the centre with all the required documents
