Aadhaar Card Address Update: An Aadhaar card is one of the most important personal documents for an Indian. Recently, the UIDAI has shared a video link (youtube.com/watch?v=T2JSCD3TtuU&feature=youtu.be) through a tweet and advised Aadhaar card holders to follow some simple steps and change their Aadhaar Card address and other details online. The video shared by the UIDAI says that one can carry out Aadhaar card address change online while sitting at home. What needs to be done is to log on at the official website of the UIDAI — uidai.gov.in, go to Update Aadhaar section and click at update your address online. Then you need to follow some more easy steps and you will be able to do the Aadhaar Card address update online.

Here is the step by step guide:

1] Log in at UIDAI website — uidai.gov.in;

2] Go to 'Update Aadhaar' section and click at 'Update your address online';

3] Click at 'Proceed to Update Address' option;

4] Enter you 12-digit Aadhaar card number and Captcha;

5] Click at 'Send OTP' option;

6] Enter OTP and then log in;

7] Click at 'Update address via address proof';

8] Fill full address including landmark, street number, PIN Code, etc.;

9] Click at preview button before submitting the address details;

10] Click at the Submit button; and

11] Select one of the documents that will be considered as your address proof and submit. The document has to be in JPEG, PNG and PDF format only.

After the click at the submit button a message will display on the computer monitor or your mobile screen signaling successful completion of the Aadhaar Card address update process online. An SMS in this regard will also come to your registered mobile number.
