The next step was taken by Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb who met Union Finance minister Arun Jaitley in New Delhi on Friday. Since the state's finances will not be able to bear the burden of such a huge outgo on government employees salaries, the CM jetted off to the national capital and sought financial assistance from the Centre to be able to implement the 7th Pay Commission report recommendations. This was revealed by a statement issued by the Chief Minister's secretariat.
