7th Pay Commission Latest News: Attention all those who have still not applied for this lucrative job. Apply fast as the deadline to submit applications closes soon. The Department of Post under the Ministry of Communications, Government of India (GoI) is inviting application for the posts of Staff Car Driver in the office of Senior Manager, Mail Motor Service. The position is for Mumbai office.

The last date for submitting the application form is 1 June 2020. The desirous candidates who have still not applied for the job should send their application by 5 pm (1700 hrs).

The advertisement for this position was made on 13 February 2020. The last date for submitting the application form was extended twice in the wake of coronavirus pandemic, that has forced a nationwide lockdown. Earlier, the last date for submitting the application form was 12 April, 2020 which was extended up to 4 May 2020 only to be extended later to 1 June.

The pay scale for the posts is as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The posts are (ordinary grade) General Central Service 'Gr' C non-gazetted, non-ministerial in the pay matrix - Level 2. The pay scale for this position is Rs 19900.

The age limit for direct recruits should be between 18 and 27 years. For SC and ST candidates the age relaxation is for 5 years while for the OBC it is 3 years. Government servants up to the age of 40 yeasr can also apply for the job. The applicant should at least be 10th passed and should have knowledge of motor mechanism.
