7th Pay Commission: For these teachers, Diwali has come early! They will get a big boost in pay and that too very soon. It has been revealed at the highest levels that the Seventh Pay Commission report recommendations will soon be implemented for them.

Speaking in Jaipur at a conclave, Kiran Maheshwari made this announcement on Monday. She is the Rajasthan Higher Education Minister. She explained that 7th pay commission recommendations would be implemented for college teachers in just a few of days.

Speaking further about what her government is doing for the youth, Maheshwari said that popular Dishari App, that provides free study material to those preparing for competitive examinations, has been downloaded by 200,000 students. 

Not just that, also, to boost the state's higher education sector, she unveiled the Vision Document- 2022. Maheshwari said that Centre has allocated Rs 353 crore under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan to develop college infrastructure. She also added that the infrastructure for students is getting a big boost and that development has been done of 100 colleges in the state by providing them Rs 2 crore each under the initiative.

A number of BJP ruled states have taken action to provide state government employees as well as teachers the benefits of the 7th Pay Commission report.

However, at the central level, central government employees are agitated at the fact that their demands for a salary hike have not been cleared as yet by the BJP led NDA government. While 7th Pay Commission report has been implemented for them, they want their salaries to be raised by a fitment factor of 3.68 times rather than the current 2.57 times.
