7th Pay Commission: DoPT extends deadline to receive complaints by three months
While the deadline to receive the complaints is now August 15, the time limit for disposal of complaints has also been extended to November 15.
Department of Personnel & Training has further extended the time limit for receipt of complaints under 7th Pay Commission by three months.
This the third time the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has extended the deadline to receive complaints related to 7th Pay Commission implementation.
Earlier, the deadline to receive complaints was February 15, which was then extended to May 15. Now, the Ministry has further extended to August 15.
While the deadline to receive the complaints is now August 15, the time limit for disposal of complaints has also been extended to November 15.
In an official order subjected " Extension of time limit for forwarding of 7 th CPC-related anomalies by the Staff-Side, NC(JCM) and for their disposal by the National Anomaly Committee", DoPT said, "The time limit for receipt of anomalies will stand extended by three months from 15.05.2017(as notified vide O.M. referred to above) to 15.08.2017; and The time limit for disposal of anomalies will stand extended by three months from 15.11.2017 (as notified vide O.M. referred to above) to 15.02.2018. "
On June 28, Union Cabinet had approved the recommendations under 7th Pay Commission with 34 modifications. The Cabinet's announcement will be benefitting 48 lakh central government employees.
After approving, the Cabinet in a notification said that the central government employees will be getting the revised salary starting from July-end.
Last year, DoPT had ordered all the central government departments to set up a committee to look into pay-related complaints.
According to a PTI report, the anomaly committees were to be formed at two levels-- national and departmental-- comprising representatives of the official side and the staff side of the national council and the departmental council respectively.
"The National Anomaly Committee will deal with anomalies common to two or more departments and in respect of common categories of employees".
"The Departmental Anomaly Committee will deal with anomalies pertaining exclusively to the department concerned and having no repercussions on the employees of another ministry or department in the opinion of the Financial Adviser," PTI report said quoting DoPT.
