2.0 Box Office Collection: This much money Rajnikanth, Akshay Kumar's movie may bag on opening day; is this movie a new Bahubali of India?
It has been revealed that the movie will be released in some 10,000 screens worldwide. Among the total, about 4,000 screens are reportedly already reserved for Hindi version.
2.0 box office collection: Countdown has begun for the most awaited movie 2.0, as it will hit Indian cinema from tomorrow onward. The movie involves exciting features and biggies of cinema industry namely southern superstar Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar. The appearances made by Akshay Kumar who is playing a villain's role, is so appealing that almost everyone wants to watch this movie. The movie surrounds distress caused by a deadly winged monster played by Akshay who forces Dr. Vaseegaran (played by Rajinikanth) to reassemble his robot Chitti. Hence, the movie has good 3D effects and is centred around a battle between Chitti and the monster. The mission is to save the world. Other supporting actors of this movie are Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain.
It has been revealed that the movie will be released in some 10,000 screens worldwide. Among the total, about 4,000 screens are reportedly already reserved for Hindi version.
Talking about it opening day collection, Bollywood Hungama report said, "The film has been making just the right noise, especially in the last 10-15 days. The vibes are good, the hype appropriate and the buzz adequate. This may not be in the Baahubali zone yet (even though Karan Johar is backing this one up as well) but then there are all the signs of a big budget extravaganza waiting to explode on screens."
The report added, "If one just counts for the Hindi version then rest assured, it is set to be Akshay Kumar’s biggest till date. While at the bare minimum an opening day of over Rs.25 crore is on the cards, Rs.30 crore would be optimum."
Hence, in box office collection terms, 2.0 has high chances of breaking the records of Bahubali 2: The Conclusion.
Bahubali 2 was released last year in April, and has been one of the most favorite movies of Indian fans. The movie stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah while Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Nassar appear in prominent roles.
Bahubali 2's gross collection stood at Rs 1,796.56 crore worldwide.
However, it needs to be noted that, 2.0 chances of bagging above Rs 1000 crore are still slightly bleak. But it needs to be noted that, before Bahubali 2, it was Rajnikanth's Enthiran (aka Robot) movie which as of January 2018 is the fourth highest grossing South Indian movie.
Enthiran in Tamil Nadu retained the highest grosser for atleast seven year, before being outrun by Bahubali 2.
Well it would be keenly watched, whether now Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 can snatch back its record from Bahubali.
Directed by Shankar, Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0, which is slated to be released on November 29, has already earned massive amounts and crossed the Rs 100 crore collections mark. A sequel to 2010’s much appreciated film, Robot, film trade analysts are betting that 2.0 will do extremely well, as it is the biggest film made in India till date with an unheard of budget of over Rs 500+ crore.
The first of its kind Indian film, 2.0 has been reportedly made with a massive budget of over Rs 600 crore. According to south Indian film's trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the film's advance ticket booking has been valued at Rs 120 crore. On the other hand, it was estimated that the film may have earned over Rs 350 crore by selling its various rights like Satellite Rights and Digital Rights.
