One New York-bound Air India flight and two other IndiGo flights departing from Mumbai received bomb threats on Monday, prompting authorities to take quick action in all 3 matters.

According to the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), a total of three planes received bomb threats: 2 Indigo and 1 Air India.

Air India flight No. 119 was about to depart from Mumbai to JFK, New York. But after it received a bomb threat, it was diverted to the Delhi airport. 

The IndiGo6 Mumbai-Muscat 6E1275 flight and the IndiGo Mumbai-Jeddah 6E56 flight also received bomb threats.

After Indigo's Mumbai-Jeddah flight received the bomb threat, it was taken to the isolation bay and checked.

Likewise, when Flight 6E 1275 from Mumbai to Muscat received a bomb threat, it was also taken to an isolated bay.

The standard operating procedure was followed, and mandatory security checks were started immediately, as per BCAS.

One Indigo plane had been allowed to fly, while two other planes were about to get permission to fly at the time of writing the news.
