Indian equity indices slumps on profit booking

Santosh Gajander Singh sold to 50,000 shares of Total Exports at Rs. 6.79 each in a bulk deal, which was later purchased by him in trading session valuing at Rs. 0.033 crore.
Bank Nifty dips 100 points at 17,619.10. Canara Bank was the only top gainer by ending marginally up at Rs. 211.15.
NSE Nifty managed to hold its 8200 mark. The index ended 8,219.90 down 18.60 points or 0.23%, with 14 advances and 37 declines.
ONGC was among the top gainer on Sensex, as investors hold their position on the stock. The stock ended at Rs. 216.75 up 1.38%. Total traded quantity was around 3.63 lakh shares against two weeks average quantity of 2.90 lakh shares.
The 30-stock index was heavily negative with 8 advances and 22 declines. Total turnover stood at Rs. 269.90 crore with volume of 6,020,982.
Sensex shrinks over 90 points at 26,775.32 on Tuesday's trading session, despite firm Asian cues.
Nifty holds 8200 mark.

Top 30-stock index losers were, Gail India dips by 1.61%, followed by NTPC at Rs. 151.60 (1.59%), Asian Paints at Rs. 978.60 (1.34%), Axis Bank at Rs. 519.25 (1.03%) and Hindustan Unilever down marginally at Rs. 871.10.
Top five gainers on Sensex were, Mahindra & Mahindra at Rs. 1,365 up 1.05%, followed by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories at Rs. 3,083.65 surges 0.72%, ONGC at Rs. 215.35 up 0.72%. Coal India and Bajaj Auto both were marginally up trading at Rs. 313.65 and Rs. 2,624.70.
