About 45734 candidates have failed the exams while 94,271 will re-appear and the results for 431 candidates have been withheld.
The overall pass percentage this year is 57.50 per cent. A total of 3,30,437 candidates appeared for the examination out of which only 1,90,001 have passed.
The Punjab Board yesterday released the merit list, subject wise pass percentage, toppers and result statistics on the official website.
In PSEB class 10 examination as many as 4.5 lakh students appeared. The exam was held between March 12-March 31, 2018.

Finally, some news has filtered in from the highest quarters. It has been reported that the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will announce the date of results declaration. This will be done a day before the PSEB Class 10 Matric board exam results are declared. This has been revealed by none other than PSEB Secretary, Hargunjit Kaur.
Class 12th Punjab Board result was announced in a timely manner and the same efficiency was expected for declaration of 10th class results too. However, that has not happened.
Official reactions have been missing and this is something the authorities really must work on to improve. They can take their time about release of results, but should provide a date and then stick to the deadline to ensure students are not inconvenienced. Perhaps, this is something that will not happen next year.
