Auto stocks were in lead on Monday tradings. Bajaj Auto was the top gainer, soaring by 2.51% at Rs. 2,753.40, while Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki and Hero Motocorp were trading in positive range of 1.15% - 1.60%.
Shares of HUL and Mindtree slumped on exchange ahead of their June quarter earnings announcement today. HUL was down by 7.25 points or 0.77% at Rs. 932.35; while Mindtree slumped by 22 points or 3.38% at Rs. 616.20.
At 1.23 pm, Indian equity markets shrugged off the gains of early trading. BSE was trading at 27,903.32 up by 67 points or 0.24%. While NSE stood at 8,556.35 rising by 15 points or 0.18%.
European markets are higher today with shares in France leading the region. The CAC 40 is up 0.77% while Germany's DAX is up 0.71% and London's FTSE 100 is up 0.56%.
Bharti Airtel was trading at Rs. 372.80 down by 1.51% on announcement of reduction in pre-paid data tariffs by increasing data benefits up to 67% on some of its pre-paid data recharge packs.`
The shares of the company opened at Rs. 379.10 slightly above its previous closing of Rs. 378.50.

Well today's trading session in Indian equities is a treat to watch. Sensex has crossed 28,000 mark for the first time in 2016. Nifty too surged by 35 points at 8,576.50. This movement was seen last year, but was disturbed by economic slowdown. Almost all stocks are trading higher with majority in Auto Stocks.

Reliance Industries opened as a top gainer on BSE led by its positive Q1FY17 performance. At present, the stock of the company has soared by 16.50 points or 1.63% at Rs. 1,029.05. It opened at Rs. 1,027 higher from its previous closing of Rs. 1,012.55.
Sensex opened 84 points above at 27,920.66 from its closing of 27,836.50. Overall the index is positive with 20 advances, 7 declines. 1 remaining unchanged and 2 not traded. While Nifty was at 8,564.05 up 23 points with 31 advances and 20 declines.
Stocks of Hindustan Unilever and Mindtree will be in focus today, as the companies will be announcing their June quarter result of current fiscal.
SGX Nifty up amid mixed global cues.
Rupee was trading stable at 67.120 down by 0.021 paise or 0.03%. The local currency opened at 67.141.
Asian markets started their Monday trading session on a mixed note. The Shanghai Composite is down by 0.53% at 3,038.21, while the Hang Seng is up 0.04% at 21,666.95. The Nikkei 225 surges by 112 points at 16,497.85.
