Puri Jagannath Rath Yatra 2023 route highlights: The annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings - Balabhadra and Subhadra - begins today. Devotees from across the country have thronged pilgrim town Puri to witness the nine-day-long Rath Yatra.
Considering the large gathering, the Odisha government has made tight security arrangements and the pilgrim town has been divided into 14 zones and 29 sectors. Considering the heatwave conditions, sufficient arrangements have been made for drinking water. Water sprinkling will be done by the fire service personnel and ORS will also be given to the devotees.

As many as 180 platoons (1 platoon comprises 30 personnel) of security forces were deployed in Puri, said Transport Commissioner Amitabh Thakur.
