Domestic markets end flat; IT stocks among top losers

IT stocks were major loser on exchange. The index dipped by 200 points or 1.79% at 10,942 on NSE. Apart from Oracle Financial Service Software and Cyient, remaining all stocks slumped on the index.
Thursday trading session was slow, with BSE ending above 35 points or 0.13% at 27,201.49, while NSE remained flat at 8,337.90.
Asian markets finished mixed as of the most recent closing prices. The Hang Seng gained 1.03%, while the Nikkei 225 led the Shanghai Composite lower. They fell 0.67% and 0.01% respectively.
Market rangebound, buying in small caps.

At 1.56 pm, the 30-stock index was trading above 39.06 points at 27,205.93, while the 50-stock index remained unchange at 8,335.90 of its previous closing.
European markets are broadly higher today with shares in France leading the region. The CAC 40 is up 1.70% while London's FTSE 100 is up 1.41% and Germany's DAX is up 0.95%.
Nifty Bank was up 39 points at 18,043.10. Punjab National Bank was among the top gainer at Rs. 117.30 up 2.94%. Other PSU gainers were Bank of Baroda and State Bank of India both marginally up at Rs. 160.80 and Rs. 223.60. While private gainers were Axis Bank rising by 1.70% at Rs. 543.80, ICICI Bank up by 0.58% at Rs. 246.40 and HDFC Bank trading flat at Rs. 1,167.20. However, IndusInd Bank, Yes Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank were negative on the morning session.
Top losers on BSE were, NTPC dipping by 1.21% at Rs. 150.75 and Infosys at Rs. 1,161.95 down by 1.15%. Other noticeable losers were Larsen & Tourbo at Rs. 1,561 (0.87%), Wipro at Rs. 558.85 (0.59%), Tata Consultancy Service at Rs. 2,469.25 (0.54%), Maruti Suzuki at Rs. 4,149.90 (0.49%).
Top gainers on BSE were, Dr. Reddy Laboratories surging by 1.52% at Rs. 3,500, followed by Hindustan Unilever and Bharti Airtel both trading marginally up at Rs. 901.20 and Rs. 370.10 respectively.
Anti Dumping duty likely on Chinese tempered glass
Indian equity market was trading sluggish led by upcoming major announcement by central bank. The BSE was positive with 19 advances and 11 declines, while NSE was slightly positive led by 26 advances and 25 declines.
On Thursday morning trading session, Sensex and Nifty opened flat at 27,166.82 and 8,327.25 respectively.
The rupee was trading at 67.482 up 0.091 paise or 0.14%. The local currency opened at 67.39.
