School Reopening News Today: The schools and other education institutions were closed down last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. As situation began to normalise, the schools were opened in a phased manner. However, the surge in the number of COVID-19 cases because of the second wave again compelled the state governments to shut down the schools and other educational institutions. Now, several states have decided to reopen the schools and other educational institutions.
Here is a list of the states reopening schools and other educational institutions from the month of September. But before that the present COVID-19 situation in India should be known.

As per the data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India recorded 46,164 new cases in the last 24 hours. 60.38 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Source: PTI
Telangana
The Telangana government has decided to reopen all schools and Anganwadi centres from September 1, 2021. The decision has been taken at a high-level review meeting chaired by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan on Monday. An ANI report stated that the Telangana CM has issued order to all the ministers and officials of Municipal and Panchayat Raj departments to clean and sanitise all the educational institutions and hostels by August 30, 2021. Bihar
The Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has also ordered all educational institutions and coaching centres to reopen normally. Yesterday, he tweeted from his official Twitter handle, "All universities, colleges, technical educational institutions and schools (from class I to XII) as well as coaching institutes will open normally. The examinations can be conducted by the universities, colleges, schools of the state." Source: PTI
Gujarat
After giving the nod for offline education for Classes 9 to 11 over a month ago, the Gujarat government on Wednesday announced that the schools will also open for Classes 6 to 8 from September 2 with 50 per cent capacity and parents` approval. An IANS report stated that earlier, with daily Covid-19 cases in the state coming down and after giving permission to colleges, polytechnics and Class 12 students, the state government had allowed offline education for Classes 9 to 11 from July 26. Haryana
According to an ANI report, the Haryana government has decided to open the schools for classes 4 and 5 from September 1, 2021. The state government has informed that all private and government schools for these classes will be opened from September 1, 2021. It has to be noted that earlier, in July, the state government decided to reopen schools for classes 9 to 12 from July 16 and for classes 6 to 8 from July 23. Source: PTI
