CBSE Board Exam 2021: The CBSE board exams for class 10 class 12 candidates are scheduled to start from May 4, 2021. With less than two months to go for the CBSE board exams, the CBSE has issued a number of notifications for the benefits of the class 10 class 12 board exam candidates.
CBSE decisions
The CBSE has decided to allow change in the written/practical exam venue keeping in mind the recent surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country. It has also decided to allow the schools to conduct an extra shift of practical exam. And last but not the least, CBSE has decided that the CBSE class 10 class 12 board exam candidates can appear in the improvement exam in the same year. Source: PTI
Improvement exam in the same year
Students can now appear in the improvement exam in the same year - CBSE has decided to give the students multiple opportunities to improve their performance in board exams, the class 10 and class 12 will get the opportunity to improve their performance only in one subject in the compartment exam. This exam will be conducted immediately after main exam is conducted and the better of the two marks will be considered in the results. Change in exam centre
Keeping in mind the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country, the CBSE has allowed the class 10 class 12 board exam candidates to change their exam centres. Many class 10 class 12 students have moved to other cities along with their families and finding it difficult to attend the exams due to surge in the number of COVID-19 cases. under this provision, the class 10 class 12 board exam candidates will be allowed to change their exam centre according to their preference. Extra shift for practical exam
The CBSE has granted the permission for an extra shift for practical exam as per the request from some schools. Now there can be three practical exam shifts instead of two. This will help the schools to wrap up the practical exams early and the CBSE board exam candidates will get more time to prepare for the written exams. Source: PTI
