The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had earlier cancelled CBSE 10th exam and postponed 12th exams. While Class 10 students will be promoted based on an assessment plan, there is still no clarity on 12th board exam. CBSE Class 10 result are likely to be announced in late June or early July, however there is speculation over similar evaluation process for 12 th Board exam.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has found itself in even difficult situation with only 10 days left to decide on future course of action.
Unlike CBSE, the UP education board reportedly does not follow weekly, monthly or bi-annual exam practice. Hence it will be very difficult for Uttar Pradesh to plan strategy on the same lines as that of CBSE. It will be difficult for the UP board to collect the marks of the annual, monthly, half-yearly and pre-board examinations of class 9 and class 10 for the evaluation process, said a Times Now report.
Meanwhile, CBSE Class 10 students will be promoted based on the marks scored by the candidate in different tests/exams conducted by the school in the course of the year. As per the policy of the board, 20 marks are allotted to internal assessment and 80 marks for the year-end board exams. However, it is said that CBSE class 10 result may be delayed.
