Telangana school reopening news: The Telangana government has decided to reopen schools for classes 6 to 8 from today. Earlier, the government had granted permission to reopen physical classes for students of classes 9 to 12 from February 1.

As per an india.com report, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao notified in an order that for physical attendance of the students, the consent of the parents is compulsory. He also said that the schools will have to maintain strict COVID-19 protocols in order to ensure the safety of the students.

Schools and other educational institutions across the country were closed down after the country-wide lockdown was announced in March last year as a safety measure against the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, the students had shifted to the online mode of learning. However, of late, several state governments have decided to resume offline classes. The date sheets for CBSE board exams for classes 10 and 12 to be held in offline mode has also been announced.

Due to the declining number of COVID-19 cases in Telangana, the state government has decided to reopen schools for classes 6 to 8.

Following the instructions from Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the decision to reopen schools for classes 6 to 8 was taken.
