Tamil Nadu Class 12 Result: Know stream wise marks scored; total number of students passed and steps to check result at tnresults.nic.in

The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) declared the Tamil Nadu class 12 result on Monday. Students who have not yet checked their outcomes can visit the official websites that is tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.nic.in to know their marks. 

The Tamil Nadu government had cancelled the TN Class 12 examination this year due to the second wave of coronavirus pandemic. In the absence of exams, the Tamil Nadu board is evaluating students on the basis of their marks in class 10 (50%), class 11 (30%) and class 12 internals, and practicals (20%).

Stream-wise marks:

As per the official data, 30,600 students have scored between 551-600 marks in science, 35 students have scored between 551-600 marks in Arts stream and 8,909 students have scored between 551-600 in Commerce, according to a report by India.com.

Students who are not satisfied with their marks and want to improve it will have to appear for written exams, details of which is expected to be announced later.  

As per the data, of the total 8,18,129 registered students, 8,16,473 have passed the exam.

Students who have not yet checked their outcomes can follow the below mentioned steps for the same:

Step 1: Go to the official website that is https://tnresults.nic.in/ or http://dge.tn.nic.in/.

Step 2: Click on the HSE(+2) Examination Results 2020-2021 option.

Step 3: Provide your registration number and date of birth and click on get marks tab.

Step 4: The result will appear on the screen. 

Step 5: Students are advised to download the result and take a printout of it for further reference.
