India has been facing shortage of oxygen and one of the key medicines for Covid 19.
On Friday, 3.46 lakh Covid 19 cases were detected in India in a single day. It was also its highest coronavirus tally in a day.
Earlier, Russia had offered to supply both medical oxygen and Remdesivir medicine to India and the imports are set to begin in 15 days, as per a report by Economic Times. Russia is said to have stated that it can supply three to four lakh doses of Remdesivir per week to India, and the numbers can go up higher as well. This comes in the wake of the government having already waived off the customs duty on the import of the antiviral drug.
