Odisha CHSE Exam Cancelled: Now, the cancellation of the Class 12 Board Exams 2021 seems like a domino effect as state after state are cancelling the Class 12 Board Exam 2021. This time, it is the Odisha CHSE Board that has decided to call off the Class 12 Board Exam 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Announcing the cancellation of the Odisha CHSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, "Students' lives more important than any exam." News agency ANI has tweeted about the cancellation of the Odisha Class 12 Board Exam 2021 which said, "Odisha CHSE Board Class 12 Examination cancelled, in the wake of prevailing pandemic. 'Students' lives more important than any exam,' says CM Naveen Patnaik."

Soon after the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was cancelled on Tuesday, various other boards and state boards also decided to call off the Class 12 Board Exams 2021. Soon after announcement from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) about the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, the Council For the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) also cancelled the ISC Class 12 Board Exam 2021.

Following that various other state boards, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, also cancelled their Class 12 Board Exams 2021. While announcing the decision to cancel UP Board Class 12 Board Exam 2021, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took on Twitter, where he wrote, "Student's safety is our top priority in the view of Covid 19 pandemic. Taking inspiration from respected Prime Minister, Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council exams of Class 10 and 12 will not be conducted for this academic year."

The CBSE had informed that the Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students will be evaluated on the basis of an objective criteria which will be announced soon. Though several states have decided to call off the Class 12 Board Exams 2021, certain states like West Bengal are yet to decide on the board exams.
