NEET 2021 Exam Date Latest News: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 exam date notification is expected shortly as the national testing agency can announce exam dates any time. However, exam dates for the JEE Main have been announced, there is no official update on NEET 2021 Exam date. Here we list out the NEET 2021 exam date's latest update.

NEET 2021 Exam Date

The national testing agency is yet to make any official announcement in regard to the NEET 2021 Exam dates. However, as per the NEET 2021 exam date latest news, a meeting was held between the Ministry of Education and Health Ministry and National Testing Agency to discuss the NEET 2021 examination. As per the requests from the students, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has asked the Health Ministry to consider conducting NEET 2021 online and more than once this year. The decision, however, has not been taken.

Reason for delay on NEET 2021 Exam

As per the media reports, the major reason for delay in the NEET 2021 Exam date announcement is primarily due to the lack of consensus between the various bodies regarding the same. It is likely that the exam would be conducted in July this year as well, some media reports claim with their unidentified sources. But, no official date has been finalized as yet.

NEET 2021: Total number of attempts

After the NTA announced to conduct JEE Main 2021 four times, many students and experts have reached out to the Education Minister with requests to conduct NEET more than once. Experts feel that giving students an opportunity to improve their score (like JEE Main) would help the students.

Also, some have pointed out that with the COVID-19 pandemic still a consideration, there is a chance that students might miss on the exam. As such, conducting the examination twice would give a better opportunity to students to appear for the examination within the year in case they miss one NEET Exam attempt.
