Madhya Pradesh College and University Exam Latest News: As the COVID-19 situation in the country seems to get worse, the respective authorities are adopting stringent measures to control the spread of the disease. The present situation reminds one of a year ago when the pandemic first struck the country. The schools and other educational institutions were closed down in the country. The exams were cancelled. Students had to shift to digital platform for online classes. Alternate methods to evaluate the students were also explored.

Again, these measures are being reinforced by several state governments to contain the spread of the COVID-19 infection. As per a report by ANI, Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav recently informed that for the final year students of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) open-books exams will take place. He stated, "Amid increasing COVID cases, there will be open-book exams for final year students of Undergraduate and Post Graduate programs, just like it was during first and second-year exams." The Higher Education Minister further added that it is expected that they will continue with the normal routine in July but there will be no exams in the colleges.
Due to the rise in the number of coronavirus cases, various states are tackling it in their own ways. In Kerala, following the intervention from the governor of Kerala Arif Mohammad Khan, all the exams scheduled by the universities of the state from today have been postponed. The union territory of Jammu and Kashmir has also decided to close down all schools and other educational institutions till May 15, 2021.
Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh Board had postponed the class 10 class 12 board exams which were slated to commence from April 30, 2021.
In other news, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting in order to review the preparations for handling the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Prime Minister has directed the officials that the use of Remdesivir and other medicines must be used as per the medical guidelines and black marketing of these drugs must be strictly curbed. The Prime Minister has also ordered that the installation of approved medical oxygen plants must speed up. 162 PSA Oxygen plants are being installed in 32 states and union territories from PM CARES.
