This decision by LSAC will help many law schools in India to complete the admission process in the month of June as per a report by dnaindia.com. This unprecedented decision has been taken by LSAC in order to avoid any clash with CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. In a statement LSAC said, "The exam had originally been scheduled to begin the week of 14 June 2021. Due to uncertainty of the date for the Board exam, which will not be announced until at least June 1, LSAC Global felt it was unfair for the current class of law school aspirants to have to put their exam preparations on hold."
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the Class 12 Board Exam 2021 as of now due to the ongoing pandemic situation in the country. The CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was scheduled to start from May 4, 2021 and continue till June 14, 2021. However, keeping in view the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in the country, the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 has been postponed. The CBSE has informed that the decision regarding the revised schedule for Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be undertaken after a thorough review of the pandemic situation in the country on June 1, 2021.
Professor (Dr) C Raj Kumar, Founding Vice-Chancellor, O P Jindal Global University and Dean of Jindal Global Law School, in a statement, said, "When board exams and all other tests are simply getting postponed and cancelled in the country creating an uncertain environment in higher education, LSAC advancing the LSAT-India test to May 29 is a great relief for law aspirants and parents. Law aspirants will be free from their entrance exam burden and focus on their 12th board exams expected in the coming months."
Due to the spike in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country, various competitive exams have been postponed. The JEE Main 2021 April session exams which were scheduled to commence from April 27, 2021, has been postponed.
