KSET 2021 Postponed: The University of Mysore has issued a notification announcing the postponement of Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2021 for Assistant Professor. The KSET 2021 exam was supposed to take place on April 25, 2021. The KSET 2021 candidates can check the notification by logging in to the official KSET website at kset.uni-mysore.ac.in.

This is not the first time the KSET 2021 exam has been postponed. Earlier, the KSET 2021 exam was scheduled to take place on April 11, 2021. Then it was slated to take place on April 25, 2021. Due to the tremendous rise in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country as well as the state, the KSET 2021 exam has been postponed for the second time as well. The new dates for the KSET 2021 exam will be notified on the KSET website.

In fact, KSET 2021 is not the first competitive exam that has been postponed due to the surge in the number of COVID-19 cases all over the country. The JEE Main 2021 April session exam, which was supposed to take place from April 27, 2021, has been postponed. The NEET PG 2021 exam which was scheduled to take place on April 18, 2021, has also been postponed till further notice.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled the class 10 board exams and postponed the class 12 board exams. Several other state boards have also either cancelled or postponed the board exams.

Coming back to KSET 2021 exam, the University of Mysore is the nodal agency recognized by the UGC, New Delhi for conducting the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) for Assistant Professor since 2010. The examination will be conducted in 41 subjects at eleven nodal centers spread across the state.

The KSET 2021 exam consists of two papers - paper 1 is the general paper and paper 2 is the subject specific paper.
