Jharkhand Schools News: The recent surge in the number of coronavirus cases has compelled the respective state governments to adopt stricter measures to control the pandemic. As per an ANI report, all schools in the state of Jharkhand will be closed and the students will have to depend on online classes for their education. Like Jharkhand, several other states in the country have closed down or extended the closure of schools and other educational institutions.

In Uttar Pradesh, the closure of schools has been extended till April 11, 2021. The Delhi government has also issued an order last week prohibiting to call any students to school in the new academic session until further notice.
States like Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and other have closed down the educational institutions either up to class 8 or fully to contain the spread of the COVID-19 disease.
In Jharkhand, the offline classes for class 10 and class 12 have been permitted because the students will be taking the board exams soon.
The Jharkhand government has also issued an official order to close down all shops, restaurants, clubs after 8 PM. However, the take home delivery has been permitted so far. The order further stated that there should not be a congregation of more than five people at a public place.
Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases, all over the country, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also taken certain decisions for the welfare of the students. Earlier, the CBSE had issued a notification allowing the students to change their exam or practical centres. Recently, the CBSE has issued a circular stating that if a student is tested COVID postive and misses the practical exams, the practical exams will be reconducted for the students by June 11, 2021.
The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Harsh Vardhan chaired a meeting on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 with the Health Ministers, Additional Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries (Health) of the states and union territories of Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab and Rajasthan. It has been observed that these states have been reporting a steep rise in the number of COVID-19 cases over the last two weeks.
