Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the country, the government has decided to postpone the JEE Main 2021 May session exams.
JEE Main May 2021 POSTPONED: Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the country, the government has decided to postpone the JEE Main 2021 May session exams. Earlier, the JEE Main 2021 April session exams were also postponed. For any updates related to the JEE Main 2021 exams, the aspirants must login to the official JEE Main website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank took to twitter to announce the postponement of the JEE Main 2021 May session exams. He tweeted, "Looking at the present situation of COVID-19 and keeping students' safety in mind, JEE (Main) - May 2021 session has been postponed. Students are advised to keep visiting the official website of NTA for further updates. @DG_NTA."
Due to the pandemic situation, the National Testing Agency (NTA) decided to conduct the JEE Main 2021 exams in four sessions. The first two sessions, JEE Main 2021 February session and JEE Main 2021 March session, have been conducted and the results have been also declared. However, with the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and unprecedented rise in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country, the JEE Main 2021 April exams were postponed. Now, the JEE Main 2021 May session exams have also been postponed.
As per the reports 620,978 and 556,248 candidates appeared for the JEE Main 2021 February and March sessions, respectively. The JEE Main 2021 May session exams were scheduled to take place on the 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th May, 2021. The JEE Main 2021 April session exams were supposed to take place on the 27th, 28th and 30th of last month.
It has been informed that the rescheduling of the JEE Main 2021 April and May session exams will be done subsequently. The registration for JEE Main 2021 May session exams will also be announced at a later stage.
One positive side is that the JEE Main 2021 April and May session candidates now have more time to prepare for the exams. They can utilise this time by taking practice tests on the NTA Abhyas App.
