After Cancelling Class 10 exams, the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPBOSE) has decided to promote students to next class by evaluating them on their academic performance. This is very much similar to the CBSE Class 10 board assessment criteria. HPBOSE class 10 students will be evaluated on the basis of their semester exams and pre-board performance. Internal assessment exams will also be considered in this evaluation criteria. Once HPBOSE Class 10 evaluation process is completed, results will be announced soon.
However, the evaluation process for open school was yet to be announced.

As per NDTV report, the evaluation criteria has been discussed in a virtual meeting in the presence of board officials and teachers. "The final results will be calculated on the basis of performances in the first term, second term, pre-board and internal assessment exams. However, for students of open school, the evaluation criteria is yet to be announced," said the report.
As per the previously announced datesheet, Class 10 exams were scheduled between April 13 to 28.
The CBSE had also cancelled Class 10 exams and postponed Class 12 exams. Students of CBSE Class 10 will be promoted on the similar lines, while there is still uncertainty about Class 12 exams as far as its date are concerned. Official statement stands that any decision on Class 12 exam dates would only be taken after a meeting with various stakeholders on June 1. However, the media is abuzz with reports that Class 12 exams may be cancelled as Covid 19 cases are showing no signs of pullback.
