Recently, the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GSEB) has released the guidelines for the mass promotion of the Class 9 Class 11 students under the state board.
GSEB Mass Promotion News 2021: State governments are resorting stringent measures to curb the spread of coronavirus infection. Schools and educational institutions have been closed down and exams have been cancelled to ensure the safety of the students and teachers.

Now, several states have decided to promote students to the next class without any exam. Recently, the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GSEB) has released the guidelines for the mass promotion of the Class 9 Class 11 students under the state board. These guidelines have also been uploaded on the GSEB website at gseb.org. The interested students and guardians can login to the official website of GSEB to check out the detailed guidelines.
As per the guidelines of the Gujarat education board, the Class 9 and Class 11 students will be evaluated on the basis of internal assessment, periodical tests, notebook submission and subject enrichment activity.
The present COVID-19 scenario in the country has compelled the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to cancel the Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and postpone the Class 12 Board Exam 2021. Soon after CBSE's decision, the CISCE and several state boards have prompted to undertake similar actions for the Class 10 Class 12 Board Exam 2021 candidates.
Soon after the announcement by CBSE, the Gujarat government also decided to postpone the Gujarat Secondary Education Board (GSEB) class 10 class 12 board exams till further announcement. The Gujarat CMO office informed the postponement of the Class 10 Class 12 Board Exam 2021 through a tweet where it was also mentioned that there will be mass promotion for the students from Class 1 to 9 and Class 11. The tweet read, ""In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, Gujarat Govt decides to postpone Class 10 & 12 board examinations, scheduled to be held between May 10 to 25, and mass promotion for students of std 1 to 9 & 11. The new dates will be announced after reviewing the coronavirus situation on May 15."
